About the Role
Simba Group, a premier Nigerian conglomerate with over 20 years of industry excellence, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar / UPS Technician to join our growing Alternative Energy division. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in delivering cutting-terrace power solutions to our esteemed residential and commercial clients across Nigeria, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability for critical energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, recondition, and install low and high-voltage Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and AVR units.
- Conduct comprehensive engineering site audits and design residential or commercial solar power systems.
- Install surge protection systems, earthing and lightning arrestor systems, and complete solar power setups.
- Review electrical drawings and schematics, prepare scopes of work, and manage electrical project interfaces.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and provide detailed technical reports of findings.
- Interface directly with clients and sales teams, providing corrective solutions and ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries.
- Comply strictly with all company policies, safety standards, and electrical codes while operating diagnostic equipment.
- Educational Qualification: HND, B.Tech, B.Sc, or B.Eng in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics Electronics.
- Experience: 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a similar technical role.
- Age: Not more than 35 years old.
- Possession of Electrical/UPS OEM training (Kstar, Liebert/Emerson, APC/MGE, EATON/Powerware, Siemens, ABB).
- Thorough knowledge of single-line electrical drawings, commercial power supplies, and generator interfaces.
- Ability to work at heights without phobias and adhere strictly to low/high voltage safety requirements.
