About the Role
Salpha Energy Limited is a leading for-profit social business passionate about delivering honest, reliable off-grid solar products and kits designed to empower communities across Nigeria. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Solar Technical Officer to join our dynamic team and drive excellence in product performance, quality assurance, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate diagnosis, troubleshooting, and component-level repair of returned solar products, kits, and generators.
- Supervise and coordinate external part-time technicians, ensuring strict adherence to Salpha Energy standard operating procedures and HSE standards.
- Conduct rigorous functional testing covering output voltage, battery operation, inverter performance, and charging efficiency before product release.
- Maintain traceable testing documentation and escalate recurring technical failures to departmental leadership.
- Provide expert technical advice to customers and collaborate with engineering teams on product improvement recommendations.
- Minimum of NCE, OND, HND, or BSc in electrical engineering or related technical disciplines.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience in solar PV system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Completed professional training program focused on solar system repairs and electrical wiring.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Must reside within or around Orile, Mile 2, Ojo, Festac, Satellite, or Trade Fair axis in Lagos.
