About the Role

Bradfield Consulting is seeking a dedicated and competent HSE Officer to join our dynamic team in Lekki, Lagos. In this role, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environment systems across our expanding renewable energy projects and office operations, ensuring a secure and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe systems of work across project sites and office operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend practical control measures.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, preparing detailed reports and following up on corrective actions.
  • Support the delivery of HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations, company standards, and international best practices.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, permits-to-work, and performance records while assisting in emergency preparedness drills.
  • Promote a robust safety culture and manage environmental activities such as waste management and spill prevention.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON is highly desirable.
  • 2 to 5 years of practical HSE experience in construction, power, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
