About the Role

Bradfield Consulting is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lekki, Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, power distribution networks, and embedded generation infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, specification, and engineering of electrical systems for renewable energy plants, mini-grids, and distribution networks.
  • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and protection schemes compliant with IEC, IEEE, NESREA, and NERC standards.
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical works ensuring strict adherence to HSE guidelines.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of major equipment including transformers, switchgear, inverters, and generators.
  • Perform system studies such as load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical faults and develop robust preventive maintenance programs.
  • Mentor junior engineers, review technical outputs, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • Mandatory COREN registration with active membership in the NSE or equivalent professional body.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including 4 to 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
  • Proven expertise in power systems, solar PV, hybrid systems, and Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) regulations.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, or DigSILENT.
  • Strong project management, commercial awareness, and communication skills.
