About the Role

Aldelia Limited is recruiting a highly skilled Software Development Engineer on behalf of our esteemed client in the Oil and Gas sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee enterprise software development, application support, integration, and full lifecycle activities across complex operations. You will play a crucial part in minimizing downtime, enhancing system performance, and driving innovative software projects that support critical business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage software development projects from initial strategic planning through successful implementation.
  • Develop, integrate, maintain, and support robust enterprise applications across multiple platforms.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry software development standards and application lifecycle processes.
  • Lead comprehensive application performance reviews, system upgrades, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Provide expert technical support, user training, acceptance testing, and post-implementation assistance.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of software projects, technical procedures, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external service providers to rapidly resolve application issues.
  • Guarantee minimal application downtime and reliable access to business-critical information.
  • Support the development and re-engineering of multiple software projects annually.
  • Promote strict HSE compliance and safe working practices throughout all technical operations.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in IS analysis, design, software development, and management within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Direct experience supporting E&P or Oil and Gas industry operations is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS), Windows Server/Workstation environments, and modern software development methodologies.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
