About the Role
Stresert Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and analytical PHP Software Development Officer to support our growing technology infrastructure. In this role, you will analyse user requirements, develop robust PHP applications, and maintain secure systems that improve our registry and business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendor support to ensure high availability, seamless integrations, and strict adherence to release and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, maintain, and support secure PHP applications, services, and APIs using approved frameworks and coding standards.
- Collaborate with users to analyze processes, document requirements, and identify practical automation improvements.
- Investigate registry-related application and integration issues, coordinating resolution with vendor support and implementing permanent fixes.
- Apply secure coding practices, maintain rigorous version control using Git, and manage controlled deployments with rollback plans.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, support runbooks, and provide user training as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on software development experience, including at least 2 years developing and maintaining production PHP applications.
- Strong practical skills in object-oriented PHP, Composer, relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience with secure coding practices, debugging, automated testing, source control, and Linux-based environments.
