About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing and outsourcing services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a dynamic and seasoned Software Development Engineer to drive our software solutions from the preparatory stage to full implementation, ensuring strict adherence to global development best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end software and solution development projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and standards.
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain critical enterprise applications to support seamless E&P operations across all company locations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of software projects, technical procedures, user manuals, and the IST Knowledge Base.
- Enforce the Application Support Lifecycle and maintain HQ as well as off-the-shelf applications with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with IST teams to troubleshoot and resolve application errors efficiently while providing end-user training and post-implementation support.
- Participate in performance reviews and coordinate system upgrades and maintenance activities with internal specialists and service providers.
- Adhere strictly to company HSE policies, emergency procedures, and safety standards during all daily operations.
- University degree in Computer Science, IS Engineering, Information and Knowledge Management, Software Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in analysis, design, and management of Information Systems within large-scale enterprise computing, specifically within E&P operations.
- Strong working knowledge of data and library management, Windows OS for workstations and servers, Database Management Systems (DBMS), and modern software development methodologies.
