About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja is a premier 500-bed specialty hospital dedicated to delivering world-class diagnostics and treatment across oncology, cardiovascular, and surgical services. Developed by Afreximbank in partnership with Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a dedicated Soft Service Supervisor to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily briefings, assign operational tasks, and manage work schedules for housekeeping, portering, and front-of-house teams.
- Perform continuous quality audits and ensure strict adherence to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies, JCI standards, and ISO guidelines.
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, monitor equipment maintenance, and oversee hazardous chemical safety compliance.
- Coordinate patient portering services, ensuring safe, timely, and courteous transport of patients and specimens.
- Handle stakeholder communications, resolve service complaints promptly, and maintain positive relationships with outsourced service providers.
- Monitor waste management segregation and conduct daily inspections for pest control and overall environmental safety.
- Compile daily activity reports, manage attendance records, and assist management with departmental KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services management, preferably within a JCI-accredited or international healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control, clinical cleaning, public health protocols, and integrated pest management.
- Proficiency in facilities management software, inventory management systems, and the MS Office Suite.
