About the Role
Qualis Business Support Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to oversee the psychosocial welfare, legal protection, and case management of children in our care. In this vital role, you will ensure full compliance with Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development (MYSD) regulations, the Child Rights Act, and global best practices in child safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and family reintegration.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive social investigations, family tracing, home assessments, and risk assessments for all admitted children.
- Develop and implement Individual Care Plans (ICPs) while maintaining accurate, confidential, and audit-ready digital case files.
- Liaise proactively with the MYSD, Family Courts, NAPTIP, and other statutory agencies, representing the home at court proceedings.
- Serve as the primary Child Safeguarding Focal Point, enforcing a strict zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and exploitation.
- Supervise, train, and mentor caregivers and domestic support staff on child rights, positive discipline, and trauma-informed care.
- Prepare detailed weekly, monthly, and statutory reports for management and regulatory inspection readiness.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related humanitarian field.
- Mandatory active registration with the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASW).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience as a Social Worker within an NGO, orphanage, or child protection setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian Child Rights Act and Lagos State MYSD compliance guidelines.
