About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons in line with the approved Nigerian curriculum.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, notes, assignments, tests, and instructional materials.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students’ academic progress and attendance accurately.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and a positive, disciplined learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking, cultural awareness, and active student participation.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and school management regarding student development.
  • Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at the Junior Secondary School level is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and modern teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and educational technology.
  • TRCN registration and experience preparing students for BECE exams are added advantages.
