About the Role

The St. Bridget's Schools, an established educational institution in Aba, Abia State with a legacy dating back to 1987, is seeking a passionate and qualified Business Studies Teacher for our Junior Secondary School (JSS) section. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering engaging lessons, shaping young minds, and preparing students for future academic and career success through our commitment to practical skills and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons in line with the approved Junior Secondary curriculum.
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and periodic tests.
  • Assess and monitor students' academic progress while maintaining accurate performance and attendance records.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline to foster a conducive learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking, financial literacy, and active student participation during classes.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and school management regarding student development.
  • Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development programs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of NCE, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Education, Economics, or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at the Junior Secondary School level is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Studies concepts and the current Nigerian educational curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and modern teaching technologies.
  • TRCN registration and experience preparing students for BECE are added advantages.
