About the Role
Spin 95.3 FM, a vibrant commercial broadcast radio station operating 24/7 out of Umuahia, Abia State, is looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media and Digital Content Specialist. Launched in late 2023, our station serves as the ultimate bridge for entertainment and information, primarily targeting the energetic youth demographic and general audiences across the Southeastern region. Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies across all major platforms including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create engaging, high-quality multimedia content such as short videos, graphics, audio snippets, and live-streaming updates for daily radio programs and station events.
- Monitor trending topics, news, and entertainment gist to produce real-time, shareable digital content that drives audience engagement and website traffic.
- Manage the station's online community by responding to comments, direct messages, and fostering active interaction with listeners.
- Collaborate closely with on-air personalities and the production team to promote shows, exclusive interviews, and special broadcasts.
- Analyze social media metrics and audience insights to optimize content performance and report regularly on digital growth strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, English, New Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within the media, entertainment, or broadcasting industry.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and video editing software for mobile and desktop.
- Exceptional copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong command of English and an understanding of contemporary youth culture in Nigeria.
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital algorithms, SEO best practices, and emerging social media trends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced radio environment based in Umuahia, Abia State.
