About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc is a multinational consumer goods leader manufacturing trusted household and personal care brands such as Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, Morning Fresh, and Thermocool. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Soap Mixer Operator to join our dynamic Production Finishing team and help drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and control mixing equipment, weighers, and conveyors to process materials according to batch cards and production specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance, examine materials visually and physically to ensure standards are met, and manage material transfers.
- Ensure strict adherence to Business Unit SOPs, SOCs, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and internal safety policies.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors, maintenance teams, and production workers to improve plant performance and reduce downtime.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, track OEE metrics, and facilitate problem-solving for process deviations.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, perform routine equipment maintenance, and accurately record production data.
- Comply with Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) guidelines.
- Minimum of NABTEB or National Diploma (ND) in an engineering-related discipline.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar production or manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of engineering practices and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and withstand the physical demands of a plant environment.
