About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a proud part of the multinational PZ Cussons Group, is looking for a skilled and driven Soap Mixer Operator to join our dynamic production team. Renowned for manufacturing beloved household brands like Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, and Morning Fresh, we are committed to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across all our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and control mixing equipment, weighers, and conveyors to accurately process materials according to batch cards and production specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Examine materials and products visually and manually to ensure they meet stringent quality standards before transferring mixtures.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, technicians, and shift teams to drive plant performance, reduce downtime, and achieve daily and weekly OEE targets.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques, participate in problem-solving initiatives, and support Root Cause Analysis for process deviations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering strictly to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) guidelines and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements.
- Record operational data accurately and assist maintenance teams with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
- Possession of NABTEB or National Diploma (ND) in an engineering-related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar production or manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of engineering practices, safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP / NAFDAC requirements).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
