About the Role
African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML) is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) Manager to join our growing mining operations in Kaduna State. In this vital leadership role, you will direct all heavy machinery maintenance, fleet optimization, and safety initiatives to support our backward integration strategy for steel production.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize heavy equipment uptime and productivity.
- Supervise troubleshooting and rapid-response operations for emergency mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment failures.
- Lead, mentor, and train a skilled workforce of mechanics, technicians, and equipment operators to ensure high accountability and strict safety compliance.
- Monitor maintenance budgets, forecast critical spare parts requirements, and manage inventory levels to optimize operational costs.
- Enforce rigorous Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols across all maintenance operations in alignment with mining industry standards.
- Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 15 years of hands-on and managerial experience in heavy machinery maintenance within the mining, quarrying, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Advanced diagnostic proficiency for major equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, and Liebherr.
- Comprehensive knowledge of complex hydraulic and electrical systems, coupled with working familiarity with maintenance software like SAP.
