As our new Site Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in protecting our workforce, operations, and future growth by developing and continuously improving robust health, safety, and environmental systems that ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing environment in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and strengthen health, safety, and environmental management systems to support safe, compliant, and sustainable operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in site safety performance by monitoring key metrics, identifying potential hazards, and implementing actionable solutions.
- Partner closely with site leadership, operational, and engineering teams to guarantee the safe execution of routine and non-routine activities.
- Deliver strategic HSE projects designed to elevate workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and overall operational resilience.
- Implement stringent contractor management and compliance practices to maintain consistent safety standards across all site projects.
- Inspire and develop internal safety networks, including fire marshals, first aiders, and safety champions, to embed a proactive safety culture.
- A bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- NEBOSH International Certificate in Health & Safety Management.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certifications.
- Active membership in a recognized professional health and safety body.
- Extensive experience in health, safety, environmental, or risk management within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
