We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the high availability, scalability, and security of our production systems in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure production systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application architecture for better scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
- Respond to critical incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct thorough root cause analysis.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automate routine operational tasks, and ensure compliance with industry security standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer managing large-scale production systems.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and containerization tech like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash, with solid networking and troubleshooting skills.
