About the Role
Ponticelli Nigeria (PNL), a subsidiary of the renowned Ponticelli Freres Group, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Shutdown Project Manager to join our technical support contract team based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will lead complex shutdown projects within oil and gas facilities, ensuring that all onshore and offshore operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while contributing to our mission of providing essential energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end shutdown projects from preparation through successful completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams and manage operations across pressure vessels, structural works, and capacity-related equipment disciplines.
- Oversee work-pack development, fabrication works, site installation, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
- Manage overall project coordination, including cost tracking, invoicing, site mobilization, and demobilization.
- Supervise subcontractors and manage personnel logistics while maintaining strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in shutdown and project management within the oil, gas, or heavy industrial sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintenance, multidisciplinary projects, pressure vessels, structural works, and vessel-related operations.
- Strong background in fabrication, installation, project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments under pressure.
