About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, qualified, and experienced professional to join our power plant operations team as a Shift Supervisor specialising in Jenbacher technology. In this critical role, you will oversee daily shift operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure the safe and efficient generation of power to support our continuous industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily shift operations of Jenbacher gas-powered generators and associated power plant auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor plant performance parameters, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement prompt corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to schedule and execute routine servicing, overhauls, and emergency repairs.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all shift activities.
- Manage shift rosters, delegate tasks effectively, and mentor junior technicians and operators to enhance team competency.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, shift handover reports, and generation records for management review.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on power plant operational experience, specifically working with Jenbacher gas engines.
- In-depth knowledge of power generation systems, electrical distribution, and safety protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage shift schedules effectively.
