About the Role
Sheltered Hope Initiative (SHI) is a leading NGO dedicated to eradicating homelessness in Nigeria, one city and one thousand persons at a time, through our communal shelter and empowerment programs. We are seeking a passionate and driven Shelter Program Campaign Officer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis at our Ikotun Male Shelter Branch in Lagos. In this vital role, you will champion our mission by overseeing humanitarian campaigns, managing our digital presence, and securing essential partnerships to help our resident hope-mates successfully transition into self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee humanitarian and advocacy campaigns focused on sustainable housing, empowerment opportunities, and non-food items for shelter residents.
- Manage social media platforms and create engaging digital content to raise awareness and drive public outreach.
- Lead grant procurement efforts and build strategic partnerships to support and expand communal shelter programs.
- Coordinate and track the progress of formal and informal training sessions, community service initiatives, and overall resident transition plans.
- Facilitate effective communication with external stakeholders, donors, and community partners.
- Conduct ongoing research to continuously improve shelter operations and program impact.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in shelter management, hostel administration, or working with vulnerable and marginalized populations within the NGO sector.
- Strong expertise in social media management, content creation, and digital campaigning.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing, fundraising, and partnership procurement.
