About the Role
Moniepoint is a premier financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We provide comprehensive payment, banking, credit, and business management tools designed to empower merchants and drive economic growth. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Settlement and Liquidity Officer to join our high-output Treasury team in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate end-to-end settlement of funds across major accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Monitor and forecast daily cash positions across accounts, proactively identifying liquidity risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external counterparties to investigate, manage, and resolve failed or pending settlements.
- Optimize the use of internal and external liquidity lines to minimize idle balances, avoid overdrafts, and support daily operations.
- Execute comprehensive end-of-day reconciliations and generate accurate settlement reports for stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary Treasury interface with Operations, ensuring seamless alignment on cash and settlement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in settlement operations, treasury, or liquidity management within a fintech or banking environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian payment clearing systems including NIBSS, RTGS, NEFT, and various switching platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with core treasury or core banking systems.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
