About the Role
Thronos Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced, highly responsible, and dedicated Senior Truck Driver to join our expanding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company goods, materials, and personnel across Lagos, various states throughout Nigeria, and occasionally to neighboring West African countries such as Ghana. We are looking for a professional driver who prioritizes safety, maintains punctuality, and demonstrates exceptional vehicle handling skills on both local and long-distance routes.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate company vehicles on local, interstate, and occasional international routes.
- Transport company personnel, products, materials, and equipment as assigned.
- Undertake long-distance journeys across Nigeria and neighboring African countries when required.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of Lagos roads, major routes, alternative paths, and traffic patterns.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles.
- Report vehicle faults, maintenance requirements, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.
- Ensure all cargo, documents, and passengers are handled with the highest level of responsibility.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Strictly observe all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company driving policies.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, secure, and in optimal working condition at all times.
- Minimum of SSCE / WAEC / NECO or an equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid Nigerian driver's license appropriate for heavy vehicle categories.
- 5 to 6 years of professional driving experience, with proven long-distance and interstate capability.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian road networks and Lagos traffic systems.
- Must currently reside in Lagos State with easy commute options.
- Prior corporate, manufacturing, or logistics driving experience is a strong advantage.
- Must be physically fit, healthy, and capable of enduring long hours behind the wheel.
- Good foundational knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
