About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Senior Technical Officer - Malaria. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive health initiatives, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) platforms, and supporting the progressive transfer of functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level technical support for the implementation of malaria interventions at both state and health facility levels.
- Support facility and community teams in delivering exceptional quality malaria case management services.
- Conduct routine supportive supervision to ensure strict adherence to national malaria diagnosis and treatment protocols.
- Leverage malaria surveillance data effectively for continuous program monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement.
- Deliver successfully against approved project milestone plans and quarterly performance targets.
- Assist in building the clinical and technical capacity of frontline health workers on effective malaria case management.
- A first degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, or a related biological health field.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive professional experience in malaria programming and public health.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working on USG-funded health projects is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and deep understanding of national malaria guidelines and health policies in Nigeria.
