About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services in Nigeria. Our LOCATE project, a CDC/PEPFAR HIV prevention, care, and treatment program, is currently seeking a qualified and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Technical Officer - MNCH. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-impact maternal, newborn, and child health interventions, ensuring seamless integration across various healthcare platforms, and supporting sustainable health systems in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for the implementation of comprehensive MNCH interventions at both state and health facility levels.
- Support facility and community teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered MNCH services in alignment with national standards.
- Conduct routine supportive supervision and clinical mentoring to enhance MNCH service delivery and build local capacity.
- Support the systematic use of MNCH data for program monitoring, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver against approved milestone plans and quarterly performance targets, integrating services across HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH platforms.
- Facilitate the progressive transfer of health functions and responsibilities to the ownership of the Government of Nigeria.
- Possession of a first degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Medicine, or a closely related health sciences field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrable experience in MNCH programming, with prior experience working on USG-funded projects preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of national MNCH guidelines, protocols, and health policies.
- Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and clinical mentoring skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
