About the Role
Adexen is a leading global human resources and recruitment firm partnering with a prominent player in Nigeria's oil and gas sector to recruit a Senior Technical Advisor. In this high-impact executive advisory role, you will act as a trusted technical and strategic expert to senior commercial leadership, directly influencing high-stakes refinery operations, economics, and commercial performance across complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent strategic and technical advice on refinery economics, planning, scheduling, and optimization to senior leadership.
- Review Linear Programming (LP) outputs, validate crude selection economics, and assess margin-enhancement opportunities.
- Oversee short- and long-term production plans, ensuring seamless alignment between refinery operations and commercial strategies.
- Mentor internal EPS teams, introducing world-class planning methodologies and fostering continuous capability development.
- Minimum of 20 to 30 years of overall downstream refining industry experience, with at least 10 years in senior technical or leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in refinery economics, planning, scheduling, LP optimization, and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success advising executive leadership within major international oil, gas, integrated energy, or trading organizations.
- Superior ability to translate complex operating constraints into actionable commercial insights and robust decision-support frameworks.
