About the Role
Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL) is seeking a dedicated Senior Technical Advisor, Lead Exposure Reduction Consultant to be embedded within the Office of the Honourable Minister of State for Health in Nigeria. This critical role focuses on driving high-level action, cross-ministerial coordination, and regulatory enforcement to combat preventable lead exposure, particularly affecting vulnerable populations such as children and pregnant women.
Key Responsibilities- Build and strengthen stakeholder mapping and coordination among governmental and non-governmental actors via the Inter-Agency Working Group (IAWG).
- Support the implementation and enforcement of existing regulations addressing lead in consumer products like cosmetics and spices.
- Assess technical, laboratory, and workforce capacities for biomonitoring, environmental testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Advance national policy frameworks by operationalizing the National Lead Policy and facilitating high-level inter-ministerial dialogues.
- Provide strategic advisory support, develop policy briefs, and draft progress reports for the Ministry of State for Health and RTSL leadership.
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Toxicology, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in environmental health, public health programs, or regulatory systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating high-level government stakeholder engagement and policy implementation within Nigeria.
- Strong understanding of public sector systems, regulatory enforcement, and inter-agency collaboration.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills with the ability to travel domestically as required.
