About the Role
CIG Motor Ltd, a leading global automotive brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our financial operations comply with federal and state tax regulations while optimizing our tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Compute and file monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) and Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) remittances accurately.
- Prepare and file Annual Employer Returns such as Form H1 within stipulated deadlines.
- Manage payments of all tax liabilities to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS).
- Maintain meticulous records of all tax transactions, payments, and statutory receipts.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly tax reports and statistics for internal management tracking.
- Liaise directly with FIRS and LIRS officials to resolve tax matters and ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants to interpret and apply evolving tax regulations.
- Support annual statutory financial audits and manage documentation during FIRS and LIRS tax audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CITN is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant tax or accounting experience within a structured organization or tax consultancy firm.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, compliance frameworks, and regulatory policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise accounting software such as Sage or SAP.
