Key Responsibilities- Manage full month-end and year-end accounting cycles within strict deadlines, preparing accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Supervise income audits, monitor Food and Beverage (F&B) cost percentages, and conduct regular spot checks in high-risk operational areas.
- Ensure 100% accuracy and timely filing of all Nigerian statutory requirements, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension obligations.
- Establish and maintain rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent fraud, mitigate risk, and safeguard financial assets.
- Drive the 90-day challenge by standardizing closing processes, implementing strict inventory controls, and delivering a 12-month financial roadmap.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Mandatory professional certification, including ICAN (preferred), ACCA, ACA, or CPA.
- 5 to 10 years of overall accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically dedicated to hospitality finance.
- Proficiency in industry-standard property management and accounting systems such as Sun System, Opera, and Micros.
- Deep understanding of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) and cost control frameworks.
- Strong soft skills, including professional courage to challenge department heads and resilience under audit pressure.
