About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14, 2024, with the mandate to improve the healthcare needs of Nigerians and increase manpower output in the sector. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, the university now features six faculties and 17 departments, designed to train innovative and proactive professionals in allied health sciences. We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Stock Verifier to join our administrative team and maintain high standards of accountability and asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular and surprise physical stock verification exercises across all university departments, stores, and laboratories.
- Reconcile physical inventory counts with stock records, ledger balances, and financial systems to identify discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate inventory records, preparing detailed periodic audit and stock discrepancy reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with established university procurement, asset management, and financial regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, identify obsolete or damaged items, and recommend appropriate disposal or replenishment strategies.
- Collaborate with internal audit and procurement teams to investigate inventory losses and implement preventive controls.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior stock verification and storekeeping personnel.
- Applicants must possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification in inventory management, auditing, or accounting (e.g., ANAN, ICAN, CIPS) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven stock verification, auditing, or store management experience, preferably within the tertiary education or public sector in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated competence, unwavering integrity, and strong professional ethics.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in inventory management software.
