About the Role
Bamboo is a leading investment platform dedicated to giving Africans the tools to build wealth from the ground up through seamless, real-time access to global financial markets. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Settlement & Treasury Associate to join our growing Platform Operations team in a fully remote capacity. In this critical role, you will oversee global payments, remittances, and complex settlement processes with utmost efficiency and accuracy, ensuring our users enjoy a secure and reliable investment experience.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and establish strategic payment partnerships to support regional and global business expansion.
- Develop and execute robust processes, standards, and guidelines for partnering financial organizations.
- Collaborate with product leadership to design a comprehensive payments strategy aligned with global scalability and local Nigerian market needs.
- Execute prompt daily reconciliation of transactions and investigate or recover unsettled funds with partners.
- Liaise with Customer Experience and Engineering teams to resolve customer payment disputes within agreed SLAs.
- Monitor disputed transactions for potential fraudulent activity and escalate findings to the Compliance department.
- Maintain strong, cooperative relationships with banking and payment partners while ensuring compliance with all partner obligations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven cross-border or remittance experience in settlement, reconciliation, and chargeback roles within fintech, banking, or payments.
- At least 3 years of direct experience within the digital financial services or banking sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the global payment and settlement transaction chain.
- Exceptional analytical, research, attention to detail, and communication skills.
