About the Role

Taghini Foods Limited is a leading vertically integrated poultry business operating breeder, hatchery, commercial broiler, and processing facilities from a single production platform in Ibadan. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Resident Flock Veterinarian to provide critical field-level technical leadership across our entire production chain. In this vital role, you will act as the technical bridge between our junior veterinarians and leadership, maintaining uncompromising clinical standards and driving professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership and supervision to junior veterinarians across breeder, hatchery, and commercial broiler operations.
  • Monitor flock health, mortality, morbidity, and vaccination responses against established performance benchmarks.
  • Lead disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, differential diagnosis, and corrective veterinary interventions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity protocols, antimicrobial stewardship, HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Analyze flock health data and collaborate closely with farm operations, QA/QC, and the feed mill to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration and valid license to practice with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN).
  • Evidence of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge, exemption, or exclusion.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in intensive commercial poultry production.
  • Strong practical expertise in commercial broiler and breeder operations, disease investigation, and biosecurity.
  • Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and develop junior veterinary professionals.
