About the Role
Yosnita Farm, a rapidly expanding crop production enterprise located along the Ibadan-Abeokuta Road in Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a proactive and hands-on Farm Supervisor. Specializing in cassava, maize, and vegetable production, we are looking for a primary agronomist to provide day-to-day oversight and operational leadership. This role works closely with the Director and farm workforce to implement our strategic vision, optimize resource utilization, and ensure high agricultural productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily supervision, coordination, and hands-on oversight of all farm activities and field operations.
- Plan and execute farm operations, ensuring the effective and efficient utilization of labor, agricultural inputs, and equipment.
- Manage end-to-end crop production activities, including land preparation, planting, routine crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Act as the primary agronomist, offering practical guidance and solutions for crop management and soil health.
- Supervise farm workers to ensure all assigned daily tasks are executed correctly and safely.
- Monitor crop health continuously, promptly identifying and mitigating issues related to pests, diseases, irrigation, and nutritional deficiencies.
- Oversee the processing, safe storage, and logistics of harvested farm produce.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records of all farm activities, production cycles, input usage, harvests, and labor deployment.
- Minimum of 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial crop farming and agricultural management.
- Practical expertise in vegetable, cassava, and maize cultivation is strongly preferred.
- Possession of an OND, HND, or B.Sc. degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Production, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of modern crop production techniques and general farm machinery operation.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and basic reporting skills.
