About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja, a premier 500-bed specialty hospital developed by Afreximbank in partnership with Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a dedicated Senior Registrar Urologist. In this role, you will provide exceptional, patient-centred urological care under the supervision of Consultant Urologists while advancing your specialist expertise in a cutting-edge medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage elective and emergency urological conditions across outpatient, inpatient, theatre, and emergency settings.
- Perform or assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cystoscopy, ureteric stenting, prostate biopsy, and minimally invasive surgeries under supervision.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, comply with strict infection prevention protocols, and participate in clinical audits.
- Contribute to departmental teaching, supervise junior medical staff, and actively engage in clinical research and continuous professional development.
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
- Successful completion of Part I or Membership examination in Surgery (NPMCN, WACS, or accepted equivalent).
- Minimum of 4 years of postgraduate surgical training with significant urology experience.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practising licence.
