About the Role
ECWA Hospital, Egbe is a renowned 110-bed rural teaching hospital located in Kogi State, Nigeria, established in 1952. We are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community spanning a 100-mile radius. We are currently seeking a committed and suitably qualified Medical Officer to join our esteemed multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive clinical care, participate in patient rounds, and contribute to our mission of delivering holistic medical excellence rooted in Christian values.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality clinical care to patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD) and other assigned clinical units within the scope of training and clinical privileges.
- Participate actively in regular clinical rounds and ensure the timely, accurate completion of all medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient management and outcomes.
- Manage emergency cases efficiently within our 24-hour emergency and intensive care unit.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the hospital management.
- Possession of an MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
- Valid NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) along with a current practicing license.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure in a busy healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-centered care skills.
- Keen interest in pursuing postgraduate training in Family Medicine.
