About the Role

Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our esteemed client in the construction sector. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for monitoring ongoing construction projects to ensure they are executed within strict budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will manage costs, contracts, and procurement processes while supporting project stakeholders in achieving optimal value for money across residential and commercial developments in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
  • Submit tenders and actively participate in high-level bidding and negotiation forums.
  • Negotiate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to secure highly competitive commercial terms.
  • Manage end-to-end project budgets, including accurate cost forecasting and continuous monitoring.
  • Maintain precise financial records and documentation for all project-related transactions.
  • Provide expert advisory services on procurement strategies, risk management, and overall cost-efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between the bill of quantities, project drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Coordinate closely with design teams to thoroughly analyze architectural and MEP drawings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience in quantity surveying.
  • Active professional certification or membership in recognized quantity surveying or construction bodies.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience across both residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Advanced understanding of local construction practices, building codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard quantity takeoff tools, BIM, and professional surveying software.
  • Strong command of contract law, construction contract administration, and value-based project delivery.
