About the Role

Bluemool Limited is a renowned engineering company specializing in real estate, civil engineering, and procurement. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor with 7 to 8 years of relevant experience to oversee the commercial and cost management aspects of our growing portfolio of construction projects in Nigeria. The successful candidate will drive financial efficiency across the project lifecycle, ensuring that all developments are delivered within budget and to the highest commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), budgets, and cost plans for diverse construction projects.
  • Review architectural, structural, and MEP technical drawings to ensure accurate quantity surveying and cost predictions.
  • Manage end-to-end tendering and procurement processes, including drafting tender documents and evaluating bids.
  • Monitor project costs continuously against approved budgets to identify variances and implement corrective measures.
  • Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, final accounts, and manage contractual variations and claims.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide strategic recommendations to management regarding cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants, project managers, architects, and suppliers to resolve commercial issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, contracts, and subcontractor agreements while ensuring strict contract administration compliance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction field.
  • 7 to 8 years of proven professional experience in construction, real estate development, or property projects.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, contract valuation, and procurement.
  • In-depth understanding of industry pricing, construction methods, materials, and standard construction contracts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard quantity surveying or estimating software.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Active professional membership or certification with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is a distinct advantage.
