About the Role

Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is recruiting a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client to monitor ongoing construction projects and ensure they are executed within budget, schedule, and quality standards. This pivotal role involves managing costs, contracts, procurement, and financial documentation while supporting project stakeholders in achieving optimal value for money across residential and commercial developments in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and detailed tender documents.
  • Submit tenders and actively participate in high-level bidding and negotiation forums.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Manage end-to-end project budgets, including accurate cost forecasting and continuous monitoring.
  • Maintain precise financial records and documentation for all project-related transactions.
  • Provide expert advisory services on procurement strategies, risk management, and overall cost-efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bills of quantities, project drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with design teams to analyze architectural and MEP drawings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience in quantity surveying.
  • Valid professional certification or active membership in recognized quantity surveying or construction bodies.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience across both residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in construction.
  • High proficiency with quantity takeoff tools, BIM, and industry-standard surveying software.
