About the Role
Proten is a leading international Human Capital Development firm offering comprehensive training, coaching, and consulting services across Europe and Africa. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Project Manager, Programmes & Delivery to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programmes. In this pivotal role, you will combine hands-on programme execution, project governance, and stakeholder management to drive sustainable development and organizational success across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end project planning and delivery, including detailed workplans, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Work closely with technical and programme teams to execute daily activities and resolve delivery bottlenecks swiftly.
- Coordinate corporate entities, government agencies, donors, NGOs, and delivery partners around shared project objectives.
- Establish robust project governance structures, reporting schedules, decision logs, and escalation processes.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and outstanding actions through to successful resolution.
- Track budgets and resource utilisation, highlighting financial variances and mitigating potential risks.
- Prepare timely, comprehensive progress reports for management, partners, and funders.
- Maintain key project documentation, including MOUs, concept notes, meeting records, and action trackers.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree is an added advantage.
- 7 to 10 years of proven experience in project or programme management within donor-funded, development, multi-stakeholder, or public-private partnership environments.
- Hands-on experience in programme implementation, institutional stakeholder engagement, and delivery troubleshooting.
- Strong command of project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Active certification or deep knowledge in recognized methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PMD Pro.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently.
- Willingness to travel to programme and field locations as required.
