We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Program Officer, Governance and Leadership to drive our impactful initiatives. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of changemakers by designing and executing high-impact fellowship programs, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing governance and equity frameworks across multiple institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the refinement and execution of the Leadership for Equity, Advocacy & Development (LEAD) Fellowship across selected partner institutions.
  • Oversee the expansion of the Campus Champion Manual, virtual learning labs, and knowledge delivery platforms.
  • Design and coordinate key events including the Policy Lab, intra-campus competitions, regional semifinals, and the national finale in Abuja.
  • Identify aligned sector partners and facilitate technical placements for finalist teams in governance and civic organizations.
  • Convene advisory meetings, inception sessions, and multi-stakeholder dialogues with key policy actors.
  • Broker and maintain strategic partnerships with civic organizations, governance institutions, and feminist networks.
  • Ensure robust documentation, knowledge management systems, and accurate dashboard tracking of program outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Governance, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of progressive experience in governance, civic engagement, youth leadership development, or gender justice.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing complex fellowship programs or multi-institutional initiatives.
  • Strong grounding in feminist principles, power analysis, and systemic thinking.
  • Exceptional partnership-building, coalition management, and multi-stakeholder convening skills.
  • Proven ability to engage government actors, regulatory agencies, and institutional leadership effectively.
  • Strong conceptualization, writing, and communication abilities, with a willingness to travel as required.
