About the Role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, operator of the flagship OML 30 asset in the Niger Delta, is looking for a driven Senior Production Geologist to join our Reservoir Development & Strategic Integration department. In this critical role, you will develop and mature field development plans aimed at boosting asset production to at least 100Kbopd, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary subsurface team.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and participate in geological reservoir studies to construct and improve static geological models.
- Integrate seismic and well data with petrophysicists to define stratigraphic frameworks and target reservoir properties.
- Provide first-class geological support for workover, drilling operations, and well execution.
- Collaborate closely with reservoir engineers and production technologists to deliver robust, history-matched dynamic models.
- Evaluate and communicate geological uncertainties to optimize data acquisition plans.
- Coach, mentor, and develop associate and lead geoscientists on essential technical skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Petroleum Geosciences (advanced degrees are an added advantage).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production geoscience, reservoir modelling, and field development planning within an oil and gas operating company.
- Strong expertise in seismic interpretation, time-depth conversion, static resource volume estimation, and clastic reservoir geology.
- Proficiency in industry software such as Petrel and Microsoft Office applications.
