About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in our production operations by machining precision components that drive our industrial output while maintaining our high standards of workplace safety and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Install chucks, tools, bushings, and gears to properly prepare the lathe machine for production runs.
- Perform precision turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling according to strict project specifications.
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges to verify dimensions against blueprints.
- Clean equipment regularly, replace worn cutting tools, and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all shop safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and immediately report any equipment malfunctions.
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or ITI certification in mechanical fields is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and complex work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, basic mathematical skills, and familiarity with precision measuring tools.
- 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience operating manual or CNC lathe machinery in an industrial setting.
