About the Role
LEKOIL is an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on African operations through local implementation and global resource access. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Production Geologist to join our subsurface team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise to optimize field development plans, enhance reservoir performance, and maximize hydrocarbon recovery through integrated geological studies and innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to field development plans by integrating geological data to recommend optimal drilling locations and strategies that maximize production.
- Perform comprehensive reservoir characterization and build detailed static models using advanced geological and geophysical software such as Petrel and Geoteric.
- Provide operational geological support during drilling activities, ensuring accurate well logging, wellbore monitoring, and target execution.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, and geophysicists to drive integrated reservoir management solutions.
- Oversee vendor relationships, manage geological budgets, and mentor junior and trainee geologists to foster technical excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline; a postgraduate degree is highly preferred.
- 8 to 15 years of professional experience in production geology, with at least 6 years in a major producing indigenous or international oil and gas company.
- Deep expertise in reservoir heterogeneity, seismic interpretation, sedimentology, structural geology, and reserve estimation.
