We are currently looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to excellence in patient diagnostics and care.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and analyze body fluids, tissues, and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings.
- Perform molecular diagnostics such as PCR using open and closed systems, alongside hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology tests.
- Identify and communicate abnormal results promptly to supervisory personnel, physicians, or nurses.
- Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment, running standards, controls, and calibration following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain quality results through routine equipment maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and strict adherence to quality control protocols.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families to facilitate effective healthcare delivery.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a medical laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Additional training and experience in molecular diagnostic techniques, particularly PCR.
- Must possess a current practicing license.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in problem-solving under pressure.
