About the Role
Petrok Oil and Gas Services Limited is recruiting on behalf of its esteemed client in the energy sector for a dynamic and experienced Senior Production Geologist based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will leverage your extensive industry expertise to minimize subsurface risks, maximize asset value, and support ongoing field development planning and drilling operations within a leading oil and gas producing company.
Key Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive reservoir characterization and high-quality geological and static modelling projects.
- Drive field development planning, reserve estimation, and continuous reservoir management initiatives.
- Provide reliable geological and drilling support to optimize overall production performance.
- Perform advanced seismic interpretation, rock physics analysis, seismic inversion, and AVO studies.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and geoscience teams to align technical strategies.
- Mentor junior geologists and champion best practices in subsurface operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- 8 to 15 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 6 years specifically in production geology within a major producing oil and gas company.
- Proven proficiency in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Geoteric, and Rockdoc.
- Demonstrated expertise in seismic interpretation, static modelling, and production optimization.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
