We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven professional to join our administration as the Senior Procurement Officer. In this vital role, you will oversee the institution's procurement lifecycle, ensuring transparency, cost efficiency, and strict adherence to relevant public procurement laws.
Key Responsibilities- Lead comprehensive procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and contract management processes across the institution.
- Ensure full compliance with the Public Procurement Act and internal institutional policies.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, conduct favorable negotiations, and drive overall cost efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, and contractor performance monitoring.
- Provide expert guidance on budgeting and e-procurement systems to optimize operational workflows.
- Possess a good Bachelor Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division in Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification cognate work experience within the procurement department of a tertiary institution.
- Mandatory possession of a recognized professional certificate in procurement, such as CIPSMN or an approved equivalent.
- Demonstrated expertise in tertiary institution procurement matters, e-procurement systems, and institutional budgeting.
