About the Role
Desicon Engineering Limited, an indigenous industry leader with over 40 years of experience, is seeking a talented and driven Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. As an ISO 9001:2008 certified EPC provider, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative engineering solutions to the Nigerian energy sector. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in basic and detail design engineering, project execution, and tendering, ensuring all deliverables meet international standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead basic and detail design engineering activities for petrochemical plants, oil and gas facilities, and offshore drilling rigs in compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare, review, and issue critical process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, cause and effect diagrams, control philosophies, and sizing calculations.
- Manage activity planning, work scheduling, resource allocation, and progress reporting to ensure project milestones and tender deadlines are met efficiently.
- Perform process simulations, optimization, and comprehensive technical bid evaluations (TBE) alongside the preparation and issuance of RFQs.
- Supervise, mentor, and groom junior process and instrument engineers to develop their technical capabilities for future business needs.
- Interface seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, user departments, and external clients to resolve technical queries and ensure design integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Extensive proven experience in process engineering within the Nigerian oil, gas, and petrochemical industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in process simulation software, equipment sizing, and the preparation of P&IDs and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of HAZOP studies, safety systems, and international engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills with a proven track record of supervising junior engineering talent.
