About the Role
Control Risks is a global risk consultancy helping influential organizations navigate complex and hostile environments through strategic consultancy, expert analysis, and operational support. We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to drive our Operational Security business with a primary focus on delivering embedded consulting services across Nigeria and the wider West Africa region. In this pivotal role, you will ensure world-class operational, commercial, and administrative support for high-stakes client projects, combining strategic oversight with hands-on management to foster enduring client relationships and uphold the highest standards of safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day embedded consulting service operations and associated client requirements across West Africa.
- Provide rigorous oversight, quality assurance, and welfare support for embedded consultants throughout their project lifecycles.
- Oversee commercial management, ensuring timely and accurate project financial recording, revenue tracking, and budget adherence.
- Develop and nurture strong client relationships through regular visits, proactive issue identification, and high-quality service delivery.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment, vetting, and management of regional third-party suppliers, vendors, and consultants.
- Scope new projects, author comprehensive proposals, and actively contribute to the creation and management of sales leads.
- Implement efficient operations management processes and prepare detailed quarterly performance reports for each project.
- Extensive background in delivering high-standard security consultancy and security risk management services.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience managing risk management project budgets, financials, and proposals.
- Demonstrated expertise in personnel management, consultant recruitment, and vendor vetting.
- Exceptional report-writing, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of managing client relationships.
- In-depth operational knowledge of Nigeria and the wider West Africa regional risk landscape.
