About the Role
Uniccon Group is building Africa’s economy through innovative technology solutions, and we are looking for a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the day-to-day administrative, academic support, ICT, facility, and student service operations of our institute. You will also integrate commercial and business development strategies to drive institutional growth, financial sustainability, and operational excellence across our technology and vocational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily operational workflows, develop academic and training calendars, eliminate service bottlenecks, and ensure classrooms, labs, and workshops are fully equipped.
- Oversee student onboarding, admissions, exam scheduling, retention tracking, and student complaint resolution to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage facility maintenance, physical security, asset tracking, and digital infrastructure uptime across the institute.
- Identify new revenue streams through corporate training, professional certifications, and short courses while supporting sponsorship proposals and B2B contract delivery.
- Build strategic partnerships with employers, manage MoUs, support graduate job placements, and ensure strict compliance with TVET regulatory bodies such as the NBTE.
- Manage operational budgets, supervise administrative and support staff, track performance KPIs, oversee procurement, and deliver comprehensive operational reports to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Education, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable).
- 8 to 10 years of total professional experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior operational role within a technology institute, TVET institution, polytechnic, or technical education environment.
- Proven track record of combining institutional educational operations with commercial business development and revenue generation.
- Familiarity with NBTE accreditation processes, digital skills training, corporate learning environments, and professional certifications in project or operations management.
