About the Role
Fort Knox Group is one of the most diversified security and financial outfits in West Africa with fixed based operation in Nigeria servicing security contracts throughout the West Africa sub-region from its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of our enterprise network infrastructure, solve complex networking challenges, and drive our digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, IP/MPLS, and network infrastructure.
- Provide advanced hands-on support for BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, DMVPN, SDN, QoS, VRRP/HSRP, and VoIP technologies.
- Troubleshoot network failures, performance bottlenecks, and complex connectivity issues proactively.
- Configure and manage VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, trunking, port security, IPSec, and GRE tunnelling.
- Support IP/MPLS service implementation, testing, deployment, and operational handover.
- Design routing topologies for Core, Access, Metro, and Edge networks while developing automation tools.
- Support cloud, security, SD-WAN, IoT, and Big Data initiatives.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and participate in on-call support rotations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise IP networks.
- Strong expertise in Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, and Bluecoat technologies.
- Active professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry standards.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced corporate security and financial technical environment.
