About the Role
Zotmann International Limited, a diversified holding company with core operations in solid mineral development, trading, manufacturing, and real estate, is recruiting a dynamic Senior Mine Engineer to join our mining division. You will lead critical mine planning initiatives, optimize operational performance, and champion safety excellence across our mining sites.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute mid-to-long range mining plans, pit designs, dump sequences, and stockpile strategies
- Maintain and enhance safety, health, and environmental standards across mine sites while promoting safety culture and initiatives
- Supervise all mine production activities including excavation, haulage, blasting, and dewatering operations
- Establish and manage two-shift production systems for optimal operational efficiency
- Train, mentor, and oversee Mining Engineers, Mine Captains, shift supervisors, and operational staff
- Conduct geotechnical and rock testing programs to inform open pit and waste dump design criteria
- Review and interrogate geological, hydrological, and resource models for key technical insights
- Monitor and evaluate new mining technologies and equipment for implementation opportunities
- Provide technical leadership on construction, expansion, and site improvement projects
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree advantageous
- 8-12 years relevant mining experience with minimum 3-5 years in senior/supervisory capacity
- Proficiency with mining software including SURPAC or DESWIK
- Strong expertise in open-pit and/or underground mining methods
- Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
